- If you are a new student, begin the day with the orientation.
If this is your first time enrolling in college courses and you have not received a notice of acceptance, you must attend the orientation to complete your enrollment application and develop an individualized checklist of the steps necessary to complete your enrollment. Do not skip this step if you have never attended Durham Tech. Students who have not been entered into the data system cannot register for courses.
- Meet with an advisor in the appropriate advising location.
Every student is required to see an advisor to discuss course selection and receive approval prior to registering for courses. Admitted and new program students should visit the advising location appropriate to your program. Visiting students (non-degree-seeking students) should visit the advising location most closely related to the courses they are interested in taking. Review the list below to make sure you begin in the correct location. Bring your folder of important documentation so that you will be able to register for the courses you need.
