On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) II Automotive Emissions – $71

This mandatory course is for employees performing N.C. Safety and Emissions inspections. The course focuses on the computer and software that monitor the emissions control devices installed in vehicles dating from 1996 to the present. Individuals who have not been certified by the N.C. Department of Motor Vehicles to perform Safety and Emissions inspections must take the class. Students receive a copy of the manual used n this course. (Because this course is self-supporting, no tuition waivers or exemptions are allowed.) 8 hours.

Spanish Auto Safety I – $75.35

This course is designed for the automotive novice. Students will be taught how to safely change a tire; jumpstart a battery; check all fluid levels; change oil, light bulbs, belts, wiper blades, and hoses. The basic automotive systems will be discussed. The instructor entertains all questions and provides demonstrations where feasible. 30 hours.

Vehicle Escort Driver Certification – $54

Training is provided for escort drivers of oversize/overweight vehicles in N.C. The class focuses on the functions and duties of the escort driver, highway operations, and breakdown operations. Cost includes handbook and materials. (Because this course is self-supporting, no tuition waivers or exemptions are allowed.) 8 hours.
