| JobsNOW: New Short-Term Training to Meet Local Employer Needs | |
Durham Tech and community colleges throughout the state have developed short-term training to meet high-demand employment needs in the college’s service area. Based on workforce needs in and around Durham and Orange counties, Durham Tech offers training you can complete in six months or less to prepare for the positions listed below. There are a limited number of seats available in each of these programs. Participants will be chosen for each of these certificates on a first-come-first-served basis. You must have a high school diploma or a GED from an accredited institution to qualify for any of these programs. Nursing Assistant/Health Unit Coordinator | BioManufacturing Process Technician Program The BioManufacturing Process Technician Program brings together the basics of manufacturing technology, fundamentals of science, and troubleshooting skills for competent entry-level technicians in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and chemical engineering. Students will also develop a safety mindset combined with strong troubleshooting skills. Classes begin April 12, 2010. More information and registration form. |
