SECURITY ALERT: Monday, March 23
The Durham Tech Police Department has received a report from a student that two individuals in a silver Toyota sedan attempted to steal his cell phone while he was walking in the parking lot beside the Newton Building. The incident occurred around 2 p.m. today.The student was standing near the automotive parking fence, looking at his cell phone, when the car pulled up beside him and the passenger reached out and grabbed his phone. The student held onto his phone and was dragged a short distance before the passenger let go. The student retained his cell phone, but sustained minor injuries to his knees.The Durham Tech Police Department is investigating and other local agencies have been advised.
