| Purpose: |
To advise professional development coordinators on promoting and supporting all professional development initiatives under one umbrella as well as assist in evaluating professional development offerings on an annual basis and making recommendations for changes or additions. The committee also advises the President’s Council about appropriate college-wide professional development activities in support of the college’s mission and strategic goals. The President appoints the chair. |

Members serve two-year terms with appointments staggered. The senior members of the Excellence in Teaching Committee serve a one-year appointment. The Director, Teaching and Learning Center convenes the committee. The Vice President, Student Learning, Development, and Support/Chief Instructional Officer selects representatives. The Chief Instructional Officer appoints the chair from among the membership. The chair serves a one-year term. |
