To keep the public image of the college professional and consistent, any publications or documents which promote college services must be approved by the Director of Marketing and Communications/Public Information Officer before they are reproduced or distributed. All printed materials should adhere to the Durham Tech Style Guide and should include the College logo. All requests require at least a two-week lead time. Marketing and Communications staff provide a variety of services for informing the public and promoting the college's instructional offerings and activities. These services include the following:

| Durham Tech News Durham Tech press releases and news articles can be found on the Durham Tech news web page. The college’s public information officer prepares and distributes news releases to local news media. For information, contact Carver Weaver at weaverc@durhamtech.edu or call extension 5205. |

| The Insider The Insider is a monthly publication with information of interest to Durham Tech employees. Previous issues are also maintained on the website for future reference. Information about events and activities of general college interest should be submitted as soon as the activities are planned for requesting internal newsletter coverage and media promotion and coverage as appropriate. Information should be submitted no later than the twentieth of each month for the next issue date. Contact Carver Weaver at weaverc@durhamtech.edu or call extension 5205. Written submissions are welcome but subject to editing. Whenever possible, please provide your own event photos. It is not feasible for Marketing and Communications to provide photo coverage for every event. |

| Choices for Success! Choices for Success! is a biannual marketing publication profiling Durham Tech programs and students as well as providing information about financial aid and the enrollment process. |

| Communication and Style Guide The Durham Tech Communication and Style Guide was developed to promote the quality and consistency of college publications and written communication throughout the college. The Style Guide covers some of the most frequently asked questions about grammar, punctuation, capitalization, official names, and formats. The Director of Marketing and Communications/Public Information Officer must review publicly-viewed materials before they are reproduced or distributed. |
