There are several steps that must be completed in order to qualify for entry into the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program. These involve first completing the enrollment process to be admitted into Durham Tech, then meeting the requirements specific to Health Technology programs and to the Occupational Therapy Assistant associate degree.
The OTA program begins in the summer term each year. There are many applicants and you may not be able to start the program right away. Program applications are accepted May 15 – August 15 each year. Once the applications are processed, qualified students are placed on a waiting list. The first 24 students on the list will be offered seats in the class for the next summer term. The remaining students on the qualified list will be offered seats in the following year's class as space allows.
If you are interested in the OTA program, please use the Admissions Checklist below to be sure you’ve met all requirements for the program so you are ready to apply during the application period.
