Part-Time Curriculum Instructors

Adjunct Associate Degree Nursing and Practical Nursing Instructors: Fall/spring semesters; day and evening and/or weekend. Instructor must hold an active license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of North Carolina, have two years of full-time clinical experience, and hold a Master degree in Nursing (MSN). Teaching experience in Adult Health and/or Maternal-Newborn Health preferred for both positions.

Adjunct Biology Instructors: Fall semester; day and evening. Classes begin August 18. Masterís degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the subject area required. Teaching experience is preferred.

Adjunct Chemistry Instructors: Fall semester; day and evening. Classes begin August 18. Masterís degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the subject area required. Teaching experience is preferred.

Adjunct Communications Instructor: Fall semester; day and evening. Classes begin August 18. Masterís degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the subject area required. Teaching experience is preferred.

Adjunct Developmental English/Reading Instructors: Fall semester; day and evening. Classes begin August 18. Masterís degree in reading, English, or a related subject area preferred. Experience with teaching an integrated course is also preferred.

Adjunct English Instructors: Fall semester; day and evening. Classes begin August 18. Masterís degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the subject area required. Teaching experience is preferred.

Adjunct Information Technology Instructors (Computers, programming and web design): Fall semester; classes begin August 18.

Adjunct Mathematics Instructors: Fall semester; day and evening. Classes begin August 18. Masterís degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the subject area required. Teaching experience is preferred.

Mathematics Tutors: Fall semester; day and evening. Classes begin August 18. Masterís degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the subject area required. Tutoring experience is preferred.

Adjunct Office Administration Instructors: Fall semester; day classes at the Orange County Campus. Classes begin October 20. Bachelorís Degree in Business Education with emphasis on teaching in Office Systems Technologies. Teaching experience is preferred.

Adjunct Spanish Instructor: Fall semester; day and evening. Classes begin August 18. Masterís degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Spanish required. Teaching experience is preferred.

Nursing Assistant Instructor: BSN degree required. Minimum of two (2) calendar years of work experience in direct patient care as a registered nurse. At least one (1) of the years of direct care experience must be in care of the elderly or chronically ill of any age. The instructor must have a minimum of one (1) year experience in successfully teaching or training adult learners.


Part-Time Continuing Education Instructors

Instructors should have experience teaching and/or training adult students. Some positions require specific experience and/or credentials. Teaching experience in an online/virtual environment is preferred for some positions. All positions are hourly and part-time. See list of open positions.
