Durham Technical Community College’s Continuing Education Division sponsors a free Biodiesel Workshop on Tuesday, June 24 from 1- 4 p.m. Biodiesel is a cleaner-burning alternative fuel produced from fat or vegetable oil, including oil from N.C. field crops such as soybeans and corn. Advocates of biodiesel promote the benefits to the environment and to energy security because it is a renewable fuel. The workshop will be held at the DTCC Orange County Campus, room 212, 525 College Park Drive outside of Hillsborough.
Workshop participants will learn more about operating a tractor or other vehicle with biodiesel. The workshop includes a short lecture, outdoor demonstrations and refreshments. Please register at 919-536-7222 ex.4011. The workshop is also sponsored by the BioNetwork BioAg Center and Piedmont BioFuels.
