| Durham Tech Phi Beta Lambda Students Earn National Awards | ||||||

For immediate use DURHAM, N.C. – Durham Technical Community College students returned from the National Leadership Conference of the Future Business Leaders of America and Phi Beta Lambda in Anaheim, California with a first place award and six other awards. Phi Beta Lambda is a non-profit education association for students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. The Durham Tech students were among more than a thousand students from throughout the nation who attended workplace skills training, leadership workshops, and other activities during the conference from June 20-23. Michele Parrish, Durham Tech instructor of Networking Information Systems Technologies and PBL advisor, also attended. Earlier this year Durham Tech’s Phi Beta Lambda chapter won two 1st place statewide awards and 14 other awards at the State Leadership Conference in Charlotte.
