| Who can register for the NA I Refresher program? |
| A student registering for the refresher course must have been listed on a Nurse Aide I Registry within the past five years. |
| Can I take the refresher class if I was listed on the registry in a state other than NC? |
| Yes. You must provide verification of listing/certification in the state where you were certified. You must have been listed on the registry within the past five years. |

| What is the cost for the course? |
| The registration fee is $155 and must accompany registration. You may pay with a credit card, check, money order, or letter agreeing to pay registration from a third party. Cash payment is accepted only at the Main Campus. |
| Are there other expenses associated with the course? |
| Yes. The estimated cost of the textbook is $20.95, and the optional workbook is $15.
The required textbook is Hartman’s 3rd Edition Nursing Assistant Care: The Basics. The workbook is optional. Both are available for purchase in the DTCC College Bookstore in the Phail Wynn, Jr. Student Services Center on the Main Campus. Books can also be purchased through online book vendors. | If an agency (Vocation Rehabilitation, JOCCA, WIA) is paying for my class and books, what do I need to register? |
| You MUST bring 2 copies of the letter of payment to registration; one copy to be submitted along with your completed registration form and the other copy will be submitted to the bookstore if the agency is paying for your books.
NOTE: Registration packets will not be accepted until payment authorization is received. |

| Competency testing is offered through Pearson VUE, which has test sites located throughout North Carolina.
