To be eligible for graduation, students
must complete all courses and credit hours required in the plan
of study under which they were admitted with a minimum grade point
average of 2.0 (C). In addition, specified programs may require
a grade of no less than C in some courses as designated in the
appropriate program handbook.
In addition to the graduation application form, students should complete the graduate survey and print the receipt that appears on the page after submitting their survey responses online. This receipt and the graduation application form must be turned in at the Student Information and Records office in the Phail Wynn, Jr. Student Services Center, room 1203. Those students submitting a graduation application form without the survey receipt will be asked to complete the survey at this office prior to their graduation application form being processed.
There is no cost for candidates to apply or to officially graduate from a program at the college. Students who apply and are eligible for program completion will have the status of graduate noted on their official transcript. However, students who would like to receive an official copy of their degree, diploma, or certificate are required to pay a fee of $15 to cover the cost of the credential paper, cover, and printing. No refunds are possible once the credential has been printed. Students who wish to participate in the annual commencement ceremony purchase commencement regalia through the Dean's office. Sales of commencement outfits are normally held six to eight weeks prior to the commencement ceremony, scheduled each year in May. Students currently pay a $24 fee to cover the cost of the commencement outfit (cap, tassel, and gown). All fees are subject to change.
