ABE courses are available for adults at least 18 years old who have not had the opportunity to complete the eighth grade or who are functioning below a ninth-grade reading level. These courses are designed to improve basic skills and prepare students to move into the Adult High School Diploma or GED program. Free classes are held on the Durham Tech campus and at sites throughout Durham and Orange counties, both during the day and after 5 p.m. For information about classes and a complete class schedule, please call 919-536-7218. Registration is open until each class meets its maximum enrollment.
