Building Apprenticeship Programs

Class registration fees are found below. Students may register using the Continuing Education registration form process prior to or during the first night of class. Checks, money orders, or credit cards are accepted for payment. (Cash payments are no longer accepted for local registration.) If registration is not completed prior to or during the first class meeting, students must register using checks, money orders, or credit cards at Durham Tech Continuing Education Registration locations. Cash payments are ONLY accepted at the Durham Tech cashier window on the second floor in the Wynn Student Services Center. Textbooks are required for each class and can be ordered at www.crafttraining.com or 1-800-922-0579.

Construction Core Fundamentals – $180.35

Designed for all apprenticeship/trainees, this course covers basic safety, tools, construction math, and blueprint reading. Textbook required. 72 hours.

Plumbing Apprenticeship II – $180.35

Study Plumbing Level II concepts including basic safety, tools, math, pipes and fittings, fixtures and facets, and water distribution systems. Textbook required. 99 hours.

Project SuperVISION – Total Safety Performance (TSP) – $299

Professional Construction Supervisor TSP is the second in a series of 40-hour courses that make up Project SuperVISION® and covers a broad range of topics important to your professional growth and success. The Project SuperVISION® Program is designed for supervisors, superintendents, foremen, lead persons, and others who are on a career path to a supervisory role.

Unlike other safety programs, this course teaches the supervisor how to encourage people to take individual responsibility for safety. This course stems from the fundamental belief that all safety ultimately depends on the accountability of each individual to maintain a safe and healthy place in which to work. This course teaches the importance of managing safety and productivity equally. Participants qualify for their 30-hour OSHA certification. 40 hours.
