Durham Tech is approved by the N.C. State Board of Community Colleges and the American Council on Education as a testing center for the administration of the General Educational Development Test Battery. The college's GED Testing Center also accommodates candidates with disabilities.
To begin the process for obtaining a GED certificate of high school equivalency, applicants must attend a GED Online orientation/TABE Testing/Registration session, which is given each Tuesday from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Basic Skills Center, 1628 Lawson Street.
