NEW! Advanced Cardio Kickboxing – $56.30

Let’s kick your cardio kickboxing up another notch! This advanced course is conducted at a faster speed with tougher moves! It gives a more advanced impact on the body and gets you ready for swimsuit weather! Students will need resistance bands and hand gear (kick boxing gloves). (Because this course is self-supporting, no tuition waivers or exemptions are allowed.) 18 hours.

NEW! Beginning Lindy Hop! – $55

This course continues to develop students’ social swing dancing. We will cover classic moves from 1930’s Lindy Hop, the original swing dance which developed from Charleston. Students are required to attend two dances during the semester. Please wear comfortable shoes. Some partnered dance experience is strongly required. (Because this course is self-supporting, no tuition waivers or exemptions are allowed. Additional expenses may be incurred.) 12 hours.

NEW! Beginning Partnered Charleston – $55

This course introduces students to social swing dancing. Basic 20's and 30's Charleston steps and movement concepts are covered as well as the history behind the dance and music. Students are required to attend two dances during the semester. Please wear comfortable shoes. (Because this course is self-supporting, no tuition waivers or exemptions are allowed. Additional expenses may be incurred.) 12 hours.

Introduction to Cardio Kickboxing – $56.30

Tired of watching infomercials about getting into shape? Now is the time to go for it! Cardio Kickboxing is an up-tempo style of aerobics. Students receive a full body, high-energy workout of boxing and kickboxing without sparring or body contact. This introductory course covers basic technique and combinations. At the end of the course, students should gain cardio endurance, more muscle strength, and flexibility. (Because this course is self-supporting, no tuition waivers or exemptions are allowed.) 18 hours.

NEW! Intermediate Cardio Kickboxing – $56.30

This is a high impact fast fitness class! Join us for Cardio Kickboxing, where we will jab, punch, and kick your body into great shape. This fast-paced class provides a total upper and lower body workout. Additional equipment is required. (Because this course is self-supporting, no tuition waivers or exemptions are allowed.) 18 hours.

NEW!National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT) Personal Trainer Certification Prep – $325

Learn the concepts behind personal fitness, health, and well-being. The Personal Trainer Certification course is designed to adequately prepare students for the accredited NFPT-CPT Personal Trainer Board Certification Exam. The course includes the study of basic human anatomy, program development, business and legal considerations, documentation, marketing personal fitness, and one-on-one training methodologies, with an emphasis on the development of safe and enjoyable individualized training sessions. The final exam for this course meets strict criteria identified by the National Federation of Professional Trainers; and upon successful completion, the student qualifies as a certified personal fitness trainer. 44 hours.

Beginning Yoga – $56.30

This course is targeted to beginners. The course focuses on a different topic each week, including alignment of the body in postures, positive thinking, breathing exercises, philosophy, basic anatomy, deep relaxation, and asana (practice of postures). The class emphasizes both the principles of yoga as well as stress management, breathing techniques, and postures. (Because this course is self-supporting, no tuition waivers or exemptions are allowed.) 18 hours.
