Once you have selected your program, submitted your enrollment application, and taken the placement test, you are ready to attend a ConnectSession, Durham Tech's new student orientation. These sessions are designed specifically for all students who are attending Durham Tech for the first time.
During the ConnectSession, you can accomplish several tasks:
- You will review your program choice to determine if it is the best match for your career goals;
- You will combine your placement test scores with your degree requirements to create a first semester course schedule plan;
- You will choose an appropriate first semester course load based upon your personal, academic and other responsibilities;
- You will learn how to use ConnectMail and WebAdvisor to register for classes; and
- You will create a checklist with each step necessary to complete the remaining steps for registration.
You do not need to make an appointment for a session. Just show up at one of the times listed below. Remember, attend the orientation after you have completed your placement test. Bring your copy of your placement test scores and/or other important documents such as transfer credit evaluations with you to the orientation. This will help make the orientation meaningful to you.
Don't miss this opportunity to get a great start. Make plans to attend now.
