| Telecourses are videotaped, college-level
courses televised for adult learners. As complete learning systems designed
for off-campus use, telecourses contain the same content found in comparable
on-campus courses. Students enrolled in telecourses will be given a
set of tapes to use for the term, to be returned when a student completes
the course or withdraws from it. Others will view or tape the lessons
on UNC-TV (PBS).
Students must come to campus for
mandatory orientation sessions. The orientation days/times listed
below are the only ones offered for each course. There are no make-up
orientation sessions, and there are no exceptions to the mandatory orientation
policy. If you cannot attend one of the sessions, do not register for
this course. If you register for the course and fail to attend an orientation
session, you will be dropped from the course. Please be aware that you
will also be expected to come to campus to attend workshops and to take
exams. Telecourse tapes are available for viewing in the Campus Learning
Center and for check-out in the Durham Tech Library.
