At Durham Technical Community College, we understand “globalization”
is a process that is naturally occurring in our ever-changing, multi-cultural,
multi-lingual, and diverse society. This concept is embedded in the college’s
mission and in our Vision
for a Learning College.
This process affects all realms of our daily lives: cultural, artistic,
economic, political, intellectual, and historical.
As members of the Global Connections Committee, we see it as our
responsibility to raise awareness and to provide the college’s
faculty, staff, and students with learning opportunities that will
further prepare us for our role as citizens in a global society. As
we do so, we hope to foster a multi-culturally competent citizenry.
In addition, we would like to facilitate our international students’
experiences by offering them a compilation of the resources available
to them.
