Each year, many students enroll for just a course or two. Students may enroll at Durham Tech to pick up science courses for new careers, to augment their computer skills, to improve their writing skills, or to learn a foreign language. The diversity of our students and their myriad reasons for enrolling adds to the academic richness of our classes. The following sites will help you decide on available classes and will provide information on the registration procedure.

Career Programs and University Transfer Students This is one of the main navigation pages on the Durham Tech web site. Credit Schedules lists our Course Offerings for each semester. To learn more about a particular course, click on the Course Descriptions link above the schedules or on each schedule page. Advising and Registration provides specific information about registering for classes. Programs of Study provides a list of the numerous opportunities for advanced study available at Durham Tech. Students interested in transfer courses should click on Arts, Sciences, and University Transfer. Documenting Prerequisites Lists documents visiting students need to bring to General Registration Should a student enroll as a visiting student or as a curriculum student? The process for applying to University Transfer is a simple one. The application form and the procedure are available at this site. Benefits of being a curriculum student include the following: Curriculum students have assigned advisors to meet with them throughout their stay at Durham Tech. Advisors provide advice on classes, registration, and transfer to a senior institution. Curriculum students register for classes during Early Registration so they are less likely to be closed out of a class. Curriculum students are eligible for numerous scholarships available at Durham Tech. Curriculum students can receive academic recognition (Presidents List or Dean’s List).
