Operations Management is a concentration of study in the Business
Administration curriculum. This concentration is designed to educate
individuals in the technical and managerial aspects of operations for
manufacturing and service industries.
Analytical reasoning, problem solving, and continuous improvement concepts
required in today’s dynamic business and industry environments are emphasized.
Concepts include quality; productivity; organizational effectiveness;
financial analysis; and the management of human, physical, and information
resources.
Graduates should qualify for leadership positions by enhancing their
professional skills in supervision, team leadership, operations planning,
quality assurance, manufacturing and service management, logistics/distribution,
health and safety, human resources management, and inventory/materials
management.
Both Associate in Applied Science degree and diploma programs are offered
for the Operations Management concentration in Business Administration.
The degree program may be completed in eight semesters, and the diploma
program may be completed in five semesters. Students may complete either
program in the evening.
