Spanish Language Certificate
This 18-credit hour certificate provides students with the conversational skills, written skills and the cultural knowledge needed to effectively communicate in the workplace, community agencies, or abroad. In addition, several courses listed below can be used to satisfy graduation requirements in the Associate in Arts and the Associate in Science programs and to pursue a Spanish major or minor at four-year institutions.

A prerequisite for the program is showing proficiency at the Beginning SPA II level as determined by the program director, or completion of SPA 112 and required lab. In addition, proof of English proficiency will be required.

After successfully completing the courses listed in the plan of study and passing an exit exam, graduates receive the Certificate in Spanish Language.
