Durham Tech Participates in DPS Kitchen Table Conversations
Durham Tech was well represented Tuesday night at Durham Public School’s Kitchen Table Conversations event. These regular school cafeteria gatherings, which include school board members, administrators, parents, and community members, provide an opportunity for informal dialogue on specific subjects. Last night’s session, held at W.G. Pearson Elementary School, focused on the challenges African American students face and how schools can promote a more enriching environment for them. Representatives from Durham Tech served as facilitators. Members of Visions: Minority Male Leadership Initiative shared their experiences and offered recommendations.
