Adult Education and Basic Skills
Durham Tech’s Adult Education and Basic Skills programs focus on developing basic reading, writing, and math skills and provide students an opportunity to obtain a high school diploma. Programs offered include Adult Basic Education (ABE), Adult High School Diploma (AHSD), General Educational Development (GED), and Compensatory Education (CED). Prior to enrollment, all applicants must complete a structured orientation which includes placement testing. Students are enrolled in courses based on placement test results.
