Course Requests

Courses are offered based on demand. If you or your business are interested in hosting a CPR or First Aid course at your location, please fill out the request form and we will respond within 72 hours during the work week. A minimum of 6 participants are required and we can accommodate a maximum of 24 participants per course.

Course Descriptions

The American Heart Association (AHA) divides the CPR courses into two basic groups – Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers and Heartsaver.

Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (BLS-HCP)

Following the current American Heart Association guidelines, this course gives health care professionals the necessary training for recognizing several life-threatening emergencies, providing CPR, using an AED, and relieving choking. Registration and book are required. 6 hours. $40. Self-supporting course; no tuition waivers or exemptions allowed. Informational flyer

Heartsaver CPR/AED and First Aid

first aid textbook photo The Heartsaver CPR/AED and First Aid course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid, CPR, and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult, child, and infant CPR and AED use. Preregistration and textbook are required. 8 hours. Occupational extension courses allow for tuition waivers and exemptions. Registration fee exempt for qualified participants (must provide proof of affiliation) $81.
Self-supporting courses do not allow for tuition waivers or exemptions. Course offered using this option cost $50. Informational flyer

This course follows the current American Heart Association guidelines. The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Preregistration and current textbook are required. 6 hours. Occupational extension courses allow for tuition waivers and exemptions. Registration fee exempt for qualified participants (must provide proof of affiliation) $81. Self-supporting courses do not allow for tuition waivers or exemptions. Registration

Once the course schedule is available online, you may register at any time prior to the start of the course. Registration must be completed no later than 1 week prior to the course start. Courses failing to have 10 students enrolled by this date will be canceled.

If documentation and prerequisites are not complete prior to the start of the course, you may be removed from the course. The courses are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Download the Public Safety registration form and complete as directed. Sign the form and bring it to the address below with check or credit card payment; or you may optionally mail, fax, or scan/email the form with credit card payment to:

Any form received with payment information will have all credit/debit card information destroyed upon successful payment processing.

Anyone may register for you. The Public Safety registration form must be submitted for registration. Make sure that the person registering for you has the correct registration fees.
