Presented within a classroom environment, these hands-on courses offer a wide range of specific small business topics, along with the opportunity to apply this new information immediately. Courses are held at Durham Tech’s Small Business Center, located in the SOUTHBank Building in Durham or at the Orange County Campus in Hillsborough.
Important Note: Preregistration is required for all courses and must be completed by the Thursday of the week prior to the start of each course. If preregistration enrollment is low, classes may be canceled.

QuickBooks Note: Students should bring a USB flash memory card to save their work from computer classes. Before taking software courses, you should have a good understanding of your computerís operating system and basic computer skills. Students may bring their own computer if they have QuickBooks Pro software installed.
Social Media Marketing
Business owners facing tighter budgets are turning to social media outlets for branding and marketing purposes. This hands-on, in-lab class teaches you how to effectively incorporate social media tools, such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn and social networking sites into your marketing efforts. This course is for entrepreneurs who have already established a basic social media presence. Student should have an email account and be familiar with Facebook and LinkedIn.
