The Clinical Data Manager manages the technical and administrative development and execution of the data management functions of clinical trials for multiple and complex projects. They provide assistance in overseeing the efficient, accurate, and timely execution of all assigned data management projects within the department and execute data management functions in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The Clinical Trials Research Associate (CTRA) AAS degree followed by the CTRA Data Management certificate prepares students to enter this high demand field. They will apply the skills they developed in subject recruitment, regulatory compliance, accountability for drugs/devices, and documentation of subject involvement in clinical research studies.
Students may continue to pursue a bachelor's or a master's degree in this field.
