COS-3206MN Cos Arts MNH Instructor II
Cosmetic Arts Manicurist and Natural Hair Care Specialist Instructor Training II is the second of two courses in the Cosmetic Arts Instructor Training Program which prepares licensed manicurists and natural hair care specialists for the Instructor Licensing Examination in each respective discipline. This course provides instructional concepts, supervisory and instructional skills for teaching entry-level to advanced students in these disciplines in a classroom and laboratory setting. Topics include career and employment preparation, retaining students, educator relationships and teams at work. Students will also practice their teaching skills in the classroom. Upon completion of both courses in the program students should be able to identify basic learning styles and principles, develop lesson plans, demonstrate supervisory techniques, assess student performance in a classroom setting, demonstrate salon services, instruct and objectively assess the student, and demonstrate competence in the areas covered by the Instructor Licensing Examination for each specific discipline.
