About

Welcome to the Durham Tech Library Blog!

Durham Tech has three campus libraries: at our Main Campus off Lawson Street in the Educational Resources Center (ERC), Building 5; at the Northern Durham Center off Snow Hill Road; and at the Orange County Campus in Hillsborough.

The ERC Library on Main Campus was dedicated in March 1987. As Durham Tech has continued to grow, so have our libraries; Northern Durham Center opened in October 1993, and the Orange County Campus library opened in August 2008.

All three Durham Tech Libraries: the stairway at Main Campus, the study area at the Northern Durham Center, and the computers at the Orange County Campus.

Our mission is to provide the Durham Tech college community (students, faculty, and staff) with the resources need to support the college curriculum and ensure student success.

Currently our collection books, journal subscriptions, and audiovisual materials, in addition to databases, ebooks, audiobooks, and lots of other digital resources. All three libraries have computer labs and study spaces available for students and guests.

In addition to our library director, we have six reference librarians and two library technicians on staff. We offer library instruction to students on all campuses and virtually.

We are constantly striving to improve our services and facilities. We invite you to come and check us out!
