The Durham Living Wage Project has officially recognized Durham Technical Community College as a certified living wage employer. The College is the largest employer to date to have received this recognition.
Durham Public Schools and Durham Tech announced a major new partnership with the goal of ensuring that 25 percent of Durham Public Schools students will complete a Durham Tech workforce credential or associate degree by the time they graduate high school. DPS and Durham Tech have committed to putting in place key strategies and supports to ensure that at least 500 students each year are graduating graduate with an associate degree in addition to their high school diploma, or a credential that will enable them to enter the workforce immediately. This goal is unparalleled in the state.

Policies and Procedures Manual: Durham Technical Community College retains sole ownership of any intellectual property created by a covered individual when the intellectual property is part of the covered individual’s scope of employment or contracted work at the college and when significant college resources have been allocated or used to create the work.
Students who have met or exceeded the academic standards receive an honors designation on their permanent record and in the commencement program.
