Everything happened kind of quickly in the spring, but we're back now and ready to take those overdue Durham Tech library books off your hands and return them to the collection. Remember that while we don't charge late fees, we do charge replacement fees for damaged books or long-overdue books. How can you get your books back to us so we can clear your account and make them available to someone else who may need them? You now have two options. The next time you visit one of your classes in Canvas, you might notice there’s a new feature available to you. On the righthand side of your course Home page, you’ll see a new Check Accessibility button, and in your course menu, a new navigation link labeled Accessibility will appear. Both of these will take you to the new Course Accessibility Checker. What is the Course Accessibility Checker? Happy Election Day, y'all! It may not be a presidential election year, but municipal elections matter, too! In order to vote today, you'll need to go to your assigned polling place and can vote until 7:30 p.m.-- if you're in line at 7:30 p.m., no matter how long the line may be, you can cast your ballot. Unlike many of our health science folks, I was academically an English major (and then an education major and then a library science major), so my formal education surrounding anatomy and physiology is lacking. Maybe that's why I love books about the human body so much, especially microhistories that dig deep into particular anatomical aspects.
