The Paralegal Technology Associate in Applied Science (AAS) curriculum prepares individuals to work under the supervision of attorneys by performing routine legal tasks and assisting with substantive legal work.
News: Durham Chamber CEO, president joins Durham Tech board
Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce’s president and CEO Geoff Durham has been appointed to the Durham Tech Board of Trustees.
Durham was appointed by the Durham County Board of Commissioners in October. He will replace former board member Darcel Dillard.
Scholars Program
The Scholars Program challenges students to develop in-depth, critical, and creative thought as they endeavor to contribute to intellectual research centered on their community, self, and professional objectives.
Work-Based Learning
Durham Tech students have opportunities inside and outside the classroom to grow professionally and engage in hands-on learning experiences. Work-Based Learning (WBL) at Durham Tech pairs students with an employer in their area of study for a work experience designed to prepare them for a successful career.
Computer Science
Earn an Associate in Science (AS) at Durham Tech and transfer to UNC System schools or other universities for a bachelor's in Computer Science or related fields.

Now in its 24th year of curating and delivering a variety of arts-related experiences at Durham Tech, founding members Lou Rollins, Bonnie V. Stone and Irene Laube saw the need for the college to be at the forefront of bringing art to the community.
News: SPECTRUM Club provides safe, inclusive space for LGBTQ+ community at Durham Tech
Sexuality Pride Educate Connect Trust Respect Unity Multiplicity (SPECTRUM) is a student club at Durham Tech whose mission is to advocate for and support the needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community.

It was established in 1994 as the Gay and Lesbian Society, and later changed the name to SPECTRUM in 2010.

N.C. Rep. Henry M. Michaux, Jr. will be the featured speaker at the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. event hosted by Durham Technical Community College.
Michaux has served in the North Carolina House of Representatives for more than 40 years, making him the longest-serving member in the state’s House. He is set to retire after his current term.
News: William Peace University, Durham Tech announce new transfer partnership
William Peace University and Durham Technical Community College have entered a partnership to further the missions of both institutions.
The agreement will provide educational advancement opportunities for graduates of Durham Tech. WPU and Durham Tech also will collaborate on program innovations and needs and seek opportunities to advance the partnership.

As Orange County looks to bolster a growing need for construction trades workers, Durham Tech has been named a key partner in leading that growth, according to a study by The Chamber for a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro.
