Durham Tech is pleased to announce that Xiomara Campilongo received the Twenty-first Annual Excellence in Teaching Award. Xiomara, Instructor of Spanish in the Arts, Sciences, and University Transfer department, was selected for this honor on the basis of her dedication to students both in and out of the classroom as well as her contributions to community college education and foreign language education. Candice Capers, newly appointed Campus Coordinator for the Orange County Campus, received the Excellence in Support Services Award. Capers arrived at Durham Tech as a student. She participated in work-study, and then became an employee in the Admissions Office. She was named the Publications and Administrative Assistant in the Marketing and Communications Department and later became coordinator of Publications and Advertising. Capers is known for her thorough knowledge of the college, her work ethic, and her dedication. More about Candice Capers |
