Counseling Services

Counseling Services help students explore the best options available for their academic and personal success. Counseling staff are available to meet with students individually to discuss a wide range of personal concerns, while counselors provide support in a non-judgmental environment, intervene in times of crisis, and help to identify and resolve personal issues, making referrals when necessary.

Durham Tech Counseling Services can help with a number of conditions, including:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Feelings of low self-esteem or self-worth

  • Uncertainty about future plan

  • Academic concerns

  • Overwhelming feelings of stress

  • Grief

  • Thoughts of suicide

If you need counseling support, please send an email from your Student Email account to Counseling Support or complete the Student Pulse Check. Once your email or submission is received, a member of our counseling staff will contact you to discuss how we may be able to support you.

For emergency help, call Durham City Police at 911.
