The CALA-Duke Health Humanities Project is partnering with RTI to host a documentary titled "HEART: Serving our Neighbors in Crisis." The showing will be followed by a panel discussion.
The HEART Team, pioneered in Durham, is considered a fourth leg of the first responder community (an addition to EMS, fire and police). These first responders are trained to address non-violent 911 calls that ask for social and psychological interventions.
Admission is free.
