Staff Association All Body Meeting and Panel Discussion: How Did I Get Here? Careers in Higher Education

Many of our colleagues have worked in Higher Education their whole careers, moving up the career ladder after receiving advanced degrees. We also have some great examples on this campus of professionals who may not have taken a direct career path to the leadership roles they are in now. As the higher education administration profession has evolved, some have been “grandfathered” in and moved up because they worked hard, had someone who believed in and promoted them, and/or seized opportunities to do/learn new things. Or perhaps someone started off as an educator but moved into administration. Please come learn what their path was, and learn more about how you can continue to learn and grow as a professional.
