TLC: Equity Workshop #2 – Reflection to Reframing Part Two

Presented by Angela Davis, Special Assistant to the President on Equity and Inclusion, and Victoria Deaton, Program Specialist, Business Programs

Using the Gibb’s Model of Reflection, participants will use description, analysis and evaluation to make sense of lived experiences and examine personal practices that are results of that context. Through reflection of various college scenarios, participants will practice reframing activities in order to consider the frame or lens through which a person’s reality is being created. Participants will discuss alternative ways to address the situations discussed.

Prerequisite: To get the most out of this session, participants must have already participated in part one. The Office of Institutional Equity and Inclusion will also offer additional part one sessions, apart from the TLC, in the Spring.
