Durham Tech’s move to a one college model and reorganization to seven meta-majors offers a great opportunity to consistently provide our students with soft (essential) skills development and enhancement. Career Services, HRD and Work-Based Learning will facilitate this presentation to provide awareness to faculty about the resources for their students for career development. Whether referring them to the available instructor-led workshops, or introducing the computer-based soft skills modules created as a result of the Employability Skills Alignment Project (ESAP), this opportunity will open faculty to the possibilities of coupling academic skills with soft (essential) skills development critical to classroom and career success.
