Durham Tech Holiday Card Contest

We invite all students, Durham Tech Staff and Faculty (part/full time and adjunct) to participate in the 6th annual Durham Tech Holiday Card Art Contest. There is a cash prize for the top 3 cards.   

  • 1st place winner = $200 
  • 2nd place winner = $100
  • 3rd place winner = $75
     

Artwork Guidelines

  • Art must be the artist’s original work that has never been published and is created solely for this contest.
  • Content/subject must be non-religious.
  • The image must represent a celebration of the winter holidays with subjects such as, but not limited to, landscapes, cityscapes, lights, animals, trees, snow, etc. Be creative with the subject you choose!
  • The image may not include text.
  • The medium may be painting, drawing, digital art, photography, or a combination of these.
  • Artwork created using generative AI will not be accepted.
     

Image Requirements

  • 5 ½ x 8 inches or 1650 x 2400 pixels (image can be larger but must be able to be scaled down to reflect these proportions).
  • A high-resolution image, minimum 300 dpi.
  • File types accepted: JPG, PNG, PDF

Judging:  The Viva Arts committee members will select the winning images.
