2025 Durham Tech Holiday Card Contest

We invite all Durham Tech students, staff and faculty (part/full time and adjunct) to participate in the 7th annual Durham Tech Holiday Card Art Contest. The top 3 cards will receive cash prizes: 

  • 1st place winner = $250
  • 2nd place winner = $150
  • 3rd place winner = $100
     

Contest winners will be selected by the Viva the Arts on Campus Committee.

Artwork Guidelines

  • Art must be the artist’s original work that has never been published and is created solely for this contest.
  • Content/subject must be non-religious and must not reference religious holidays.
  • The image may not include text.
  • The image must represent a celebration of the winter holidays with subjects such as, but not limited to, landscapes, cityscapes, lights, animals, trees, snow, etc.
  • Examples of media include: painting, drawing, digital art, photography, printmaking, or a combination of these.
  • If submitting digital art, please list the software used to create your work.
  • Artwork created using generative AI will not be accepted.
     

Image Requirements

  • Image size: 5 ½ x 8 inches or 1650 x 2400 pixels (the image can be larger but must be able to be scaled down to reflect these proportions).
  • A high-resolution image that is a minimum 300 DPI.
  • File types accepted: JPG, PNG, TIFF.
