News: Durham Tech program receives international accreditation
The English for Academic Purposes program at Durham Technical Community College has been recognized globally with a recent accreditation from the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation.
Durham Tech is the only community college in North Carolina and one of only seven institutions in the state with the accreditation, according to the Commission’s website.
News: Community leaders re-elected to top positions of Durham Tech Board of Trustees
Longtime community leaders John F. Burness and Dr. Tara L. Fikes have been reelected as Chair and Vice Chair, respectively, of the Durham Technical Community College Board of Trustees.
The two were first elected to their posts in the fall of 2017 for the 2017-18 academic year.

News: Durham Tech concludes year-long interview radio series
The new programs, partnerships, and efforts of Durham Tech were highlighted over the last year on “The Aaron Keck Show” on WCHL 97.9 The Hill radio in Chapel Hill.
Online Learning
Online courses provide a flexible option for busy, motivated students to learn without traveling to campus. Hybrid courses combine distance learning with weekly on-campus meetings, giving you an online experience with a face-to-face personal touch (and fewer trips to campus).
News: Durham Tech Chief Operations Officer named to national association commission
Dr. Susan Bowen, Durham Tech vice president and chief operations officer, has been appointed by the Board of Directors of the American Association of Community Colleges to serve on the Commission on Institutional Infrastructure and Transformation.
Economics
Students who ultimately wish to complete a baccalaureate of arts degree at a four-year college or university would complete the Associate in Arts (AA) degree. Students in this program develop foundational knowledge particularly in business, English, fine arts, foreign languages, history, philosophy, psychology, or sociology.
