The library is excited to announce that we now have a total of 254 loaner laptops (Dell and Acer) for students to borrow for the semester. Students who need a computer and who are currently enrolled in any Durham Tech course are eligible to complete the Computer Request Form to apply. Maggie West, Coordinator of Student Wellness and Basic Needs, receives all applications and will assess if a Chromebook will work or other options are available to meet current academic needs. On November 8, North Carolinians will cast their ballots for the 2022 midterm elections. Non-presidential elections often see fewer than half of the total eligible voters cast their ballot during midterm elections, according to North Carolina's State Board of Elections. If you are reading this and will be at least age 18 by election day, you can make an impact by being an informed and engaged citizen and casting your ballot in November, or during the early voting period (October 20 - November 5)

Researchers and history buffs alike may now search and access local history collections across North Carolina with a single search box thanks to a collaborative project led by the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center, NC LIVE, and the State Library of North Carolina. NC ECHO enables users to search across thousands of digitized historic materials, including a wide variety of books, photographs, maps, family histories, state documents, newspapers, and much more from cultural heritage

Need to use the Durham Tech Libraries next week? Well, our hours will temporarily change. The College will be closed Wednesday, November 24 through Sunday, November 28.
