At the end of the spring semester, the Library and the Durham Tech Fine Arts classes come together to host a student art display. We look forward to this event each year. Consult your color wheel or box of crayons and choose a book with a color in the title to complete your Read Great Things 2021 Challenge. If you're into double-dipping, we have a lot of really excellent books about race and racial justice that would also count as A book about social justice or equity with black or white in the title. Need to use the Durham Tech Libraries next week? Well, our hours will temporarily change. The College will be closed Wednesday, November 24 through Sunday, November 28. No classes or events will be held. The Main Campus Library will be open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday and Tuesday, November 22 and 23. The Northern Durham Center Library will be closed. Dance is wonderful. It is one of my favorite things in the world despite the fact that I'm only okay at it on a good day. Who cares? If I'm dancing I'm having a good time. Many of the dances known in the United States were created by the Black community. Blues dancing, Swing, the Twist, Disco, Lindy Hop, Charleston, Jitterbug, Moonwalk, Cakewalk, and so many more.
