The library recently added nearly twenty new contemporary art books to our collection thanks to the Art Resources Transfer program sponsored by The Distribution to Underserved Communities Library Program (D.U.C.). One of those partners is UNC Chapel Hill’s North Carolina Digital Heritage Center ( http://www.digitalnc.org). This spring the Modern Language Association of America (MLA) replaced its seventh edition handbook with a new eighth edition. The new edition includes significant changes that focus more on the process of writing and documenting sources. In addition to almost being Earth Day, it's time for April's Crafternoon! Current students can pick up a spring flower kit that includes a seed packet of flowers, a small bag of potting soil, a ceramic pot, and a set of paints and brush to decorate your pot in one of two places: 1) in the Main Campus Library or 2) at the Food Pantry's outdoor pickup location (outside of Phillips). Harper Lee's highly anticipated second novel, Go Set a Watchman, will be released Tues. July 14. It has been suggested that Go Set a Watchman was written before Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning 1960 novel, To Kill A Mockingbird.
