Library Reads for International Women's Day
March 8 is International Women's Day and was created to focus on the achievements of women across the globe and emphasize the continued need to push for gender parity. This year's theme is "Choose to Challenge," acknowledging that gender bias left unchallenged allows it to continue. News: Durham Tech takes first place in national NASA competition
The Programmabulls, as the Durham Tech student group is known, won first place in the Physical Team competition at the 2018 NASA Swarmathon, a three-day robotics event at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, on April 19. The prize included a $5,000 check and trophy.
News: Durham Tech Board of Trustees welcomes new chair, vice chair, appointees
Durham Tech Community College’s Board of Trustees welcomed new board Chair Dr. Pat Ashley and new Vice Chair Gracie Johnson-Lopez to their new roles Tuesday, Aug. 19. The board unanimously elected them in June and their terms began July 1 and will run through June 2026.
