Durham Tech students transform courtyard for children with autism at Raleigh elementary school
Four students in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Durham Tech spent six weeks transforming a courtyard for children with autism, which is used for play and socialization.
Alice Cheung brought this interactive experience to Durham in 2015 after attending a joint seminar by the Durham Tech Small Business Center and the Women’s Business Center of North Carolina.
Durham Tech is the only college in The Triangle and only community college in the state to have received the designation, according to the program’s website.
