Chef Ricky Moore, owner of the Saltbox Seafood Joint in two locations in Durham, will speak with students and employees about his inspiration from the classic American fish camps and waterside seafood shacks, placing an emphasis on local, fresh seafood. The discussion will be followed by a signing of the Saltbox Seafood Joint Cookbook, which compiles sixty recipes that celebrate Ricky Moore’s coastal culinary heritage.
