Join us for a collaborative community event focusing on the legacy of modernist design/architecture and its relationship to the fine arts world. George Smart, Founder and CEO of NCModernist® will lecture about Mayberry Modernism: North Carolina’s Modernist Legacy. The lecture will be followed by the screening of four documentary films.

This film festival will bring participants together with local architects, builders, and Durham Tech faculty and will provide the opportunity to learn more about the basic principals of Modernist design. Those interested in learning more about Architectural Technology, Engineering, and other Building and Skilled Trades Pathways at Durham Tech are encouraged to attend. This event is open the public. Refreshments will be provided.

This event will be hosted on Durham Tech main campus and is a community collaborative between AIA Triangle, Cassilhaus, DCoL, Diversity Architecture, DPS, Durham Tech, Nasher Museum of Art at Duke, University, NC Modernist, and NC NOMA.
