March 6-10 is Open Education Week! Open Educational Resources (OER) are high-quality educational materials that are available for free in the public domain and can be retained, reused, revised, remixed, and redistributed under Creative Commons licensing. It's time for another virtual Crafternoon! Crafternoons are a partnership between the Durham Tech Student Government Association and the Library. Today, I'll walk through how to make paper stars, which--depending on the size of paper you use-- can be used as a decorative wreath or just decoration. Reading and writing are a huge part of being a college student. Essays, research papers and exams require students to think critically and put those thoughts into words. Many written assignments necessitate citations, with which students demonstrate that they have consulted sources and synthesized the information they discover with their own thoughts into a cogent analysis with original conclusions.
