I mean, it's not a holiday or anything, but today is when North Carolina early voting sites open, including one on Durham Tech's Main Campus ( in the Newton building, room 4-141, accessed from the back parking lot--near the construction classrooms) for Durham County voters. Early voting begins Thursday, Oct. 15 and ends on Saturday, Oct. 31. Central Sterile Processing Technicians serve surgeons by processing and assembling surgical instruments and supporting inventory in operating rooms. Upon completion of this course, students are able to apply the principles of sterilization and disinfection in the workplace as well as knowledge about distribution of instruments, supplies, and equipment.

Bryan Jose Rodriguez-Sanchez, a Durham Technical Community College graduate, began to think about his passion and what he wanted his adult life to be when he heard about the College’s dual-enrollment program that gives high school students the opportunity to also take classes at the College. “I wanted to challenge myself,” Bryan said. “[Dual-enrollment] was the perfect opportunity for me to challenge myself.”
