The Global Distinction program aims to develop global awareness and intercultural skills across the campus. Faculty become involved by either teaching an inherently global course, or by globalizing their own course section(s) of other courses.

The Practical Nursing program focuses on theory and practice in a broad range of nursing activities encompassing direct patient care in relatively stable nursing situations.
Dr. Tracy Mancini, who previously served as the Dean of Arts, Sciences, and University Transfer at Durham Technical Community College, has been named the next president of Carteret Community College in Morehead City, North Carolina.
